The Olde English Tea Room & Gift Shoppe has been nestled in historic downtown Wake Forest for the past eleven years. Known for our quaint ambiance we offer two enchanting settings. Our Victorian room is bright and cheerful, embellished with a seasonally decorated "Christmas" tree. Our Library offers a more serene mood. Both rooms are enhanced with classical music, candle light, fireplaces, table linens, and china.
As it is our desire to preserve this tranquil atmosphere for all our patrons, we suggest the following guidelines:
- Dress Code - We are a "come as you are" party! Should you choose to "dress up," hats, gloves, and beads are provided. Bring your camera to record your special memories. Should you forget, we keep disposable cameras on hand for purchase.
- Meetings, Manners Classes, Children's Birthday Parties, Baby and Wedding Showers are offered Monday through Saturday at 9:30 AM or 3:00 PM. as our dining rooms are not set up to accommodate these events during our lunch hours. The joy of having your event at the Tea Room is that your only responsibility is to come and enjoy the company of your friends! The atmosphere is set for a pleasurable experience.
- Children are warmly welcomed. We request they be accompanied by an adult at all times as there are many fragile items in our shoppe. Ill-mannered children may be asked to leave.
- Cell Phone Calls are requested to be taken outside the dining rooms.
Come join us for a "spot of tea." Take a step back in time, a reprieve from the busyness of your daily routine. Our goal is to serve you, hoping you will leave refreshed, encouraged, and ready to serve others. We look forward to seeing you!
